july is disability pride month !! so, here’s a reminder that respect isn’t something disabled people should have to earn or fight for, but something that should be given naturally, this month and every month.
there is still so much ableism not just in the wider society, but in queer spaces and communities, even amongst other disabled people - as a person with autism, i am part of the disabled community, but i know that that i still have more privilege than people with physical disabilities who are harmed by the unaccommodating design of our buildings and public spaces; or more stigmatised metal disorders and disabilities such as psychosis, schizophrenia and dissociative disorders.
so, this disability pride month i urge not just for more respect in the wider community, but within the disabled community itself. celebrate your own disability/ies, but make sure you celebrate other disabilities too and never put someone down for being ‘more’ or differently disabled than you.
happy disability pride month from your local anxious autistic girlie <3 it’s a time to celebrate

I adore the trans support on this account. While you acknowledge that some of it is fiction you also acknowledge that trans men are men that can actually get pregnant
Thank you very much. I don’t think you can enjoy Male Pregnancy, and not acknowledge that there are actual pregnant men already in the world. My fantasy is of course a “cisgender” man that can get pregnant through gay sex. But I do acknowledge that, and think that, someone who identifies as a man is a pregnant man. I don’t know the struggle trans-folks go through, and I won’t even pretend that I do. But I will say this: If you told me you are a man, or a woman, or whatever you want to be, I’ll respect that and address and think of you as what you identify as. It’s only right.
Now a days, with rights in my country increasingly becoming threatened, it’s more important then ever that we recognize that everyone deserves rights, and body autonomy. That’s just how it goes.
It’s terrible that we even have to discuss this. If anyone needs to talk, shoot me a PM here or on instagram.
Sigh…. Here is the yearly reminder, that need I remind you, SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BE SAID. Trans people are people, they can identify as whatever they want to identify as. And if you have a shred of human decency you respect their decision without question.
If you have a problem with trans folk, kindly fuck off and leave my tumblr. I’m sorry if I am coming off crass and mad, but fuck, I am mad. This shouldn’t have to be said, it should just be understand you treat people with respect. And, as long as they aren’t hurting people or themselves, let them live their life.
I don’t think people realize just how big Transgender folk helped us get our rights in the first place. You know Stonewall? The reason we have pride in June? One of the biggest supporters and organizers of the riots and action that came after was done by Transgender POC. So fuck out of here with your bigotry and hate. There’s no reason for it, especially in 2023.
If someone wants identify as an “attack helicopter” (that joke is so hateful), or anything else. Let them. It doesn’t hurt you or affect you. Just nod, say okay and address them as they wish to be addressed.
The part I don’t understand, and quite frankly don’t think I ever will, is how you can hate trans people but like mpreg. Mpreg and Trans people go together like PB & J. Like I get trans hate comments (reported, deleted and blocked of course), after they like a Ked, Alec or Yelli pick, and I’m like… Bruh.
So let me say it once more for the people in the back.
Trans rights are human rights. Trans Men are pregnant men. A trans women is a women, a trans man is a man. Also, here’s a shocker for you. People don’t have to have surgery or take medication to be transgender. That’s a choice they make, for how they feel, and what makes them happy. Regardless, just be kind to people folks. It’s not hard.
the way sesame street, a pbs puppet show for literal babies, is pressing on with pride content despite vitriolic monsters descending on every post to insinuate they’re pedophiles or demons while some of the biggest companies on the planet who could swim in olympic swimming pools of money like scrooge mcduck on steroids buckle and cave just emphasizes how completely and utterly pathetic these corporations are. they’d butcher a baby if it meant saving a penny.

where Starbucks and Target and Budweiser will be bullied into submission with the slightest push, puppets and people in your neighborhood stand tall
Every time some straight cis dude tells me “man I’m insecure about being fat and hairy” I desperately try to explain to them that there are literally legions of women who would do absolutely biblical things to someone with their body. Sexyness is swordplay; it is not the body, but how one understands, wields it.
THIS is true. People who aren’t “conventionally attractive” have to work twice as hard to conform to mainstream gender standards. Charisma may be the great social equalizer, but charisma takes work that the thin, white, and conventional do not need to expend. Lets not pretend the game isn’t rigged.
I love stuff like this. Didn’t a tribe in Africa send America some cows after 9/11? Like this is holy and the most valuable thing we have. We hear your suffering and want to do anything in our power to help
It was not a potato famine. The famine didn’t happen because of the potato yeald failing. Ireland was actually producing more than enough food. However it was almost all land owned by Brittish landowners, who took all of the food out of the country to sell in UK. Potato was what the Irish farmers ate, because it was cheep and could be produced in worst parts of the land, where more profitable food couldn’t be grown. When there were no longer potatos, the decision for the farmers was to either starve and sent the food as rent to the landlords or loose their homes and then starve.
The Brittish goverment was unwilling to do anything for two reasons. First was the laissez-faire capitalistic ideology, that put the rights of property owners to make profits above human lives. Rent freeze was unthinkable and they even were unwilling to do proper relief efforts as free food would lower the cost of food. The second reason was distain for the Irish, and the thought that they were “breeding too much” and the famine was a natural way to trim down the population, aka genocidal reasoning.
This is why it’s important to stress it was not a potato famine. The potato blinght was all over Europe but only in Ireland there was a famine. The reasons behind it had nothing to do with potatos and everything to do with the Brittish.
Apparently what made Choctaw want to offer relief to Irish was the news about the Doolough Tragedy. Hundreds of starving people were gathered for inspection to verify they were entitled to recieve relief. The officials would for *some reason* not do that and instead left to a hunting lodge 19 kilometers away to spend the night and said to the starvqing people they would have to walk there by morning to be inspected. The weather conditions were terrible and many of them died completely needlessly during the walk thoroung day and night.
This apparently reminded the Choctaw of their own very recent (and much more explicit and bigger scale) experiences of ethnic clensing, where they were forcibly relocated. It was basically a death march and thousands of Choctaw died from the terrible conditions also completely needlessly.
In 2015 a memorial named Kindred Spirits was installed in Southern Ireland to commemorate the Chactow donation.
